Family Portraits, Custom Wallpaper, Framed Photographs, 20 ft. x 9 ft., 2013

In Family Portraits, I recreated a domestic-like setting, in which the wallpaper was crafted from black and white mug shot and courtroom photographs of Stephen Harkness from his murder trial.  Hung on top of this wallpaper is a series of framed color photographs of happier past moments.  This signified that even as time passes, this tragedy would always remain a part of the family’s history.
