Wavelength II continues to explore our bountiful oceans and reflects upon their limitless nature. I moved to the northern part of the United States from Florida in the south, which was covered in palm trees and your typical tropical scenery. When making this piece, I was actually referencing the generative nature of screensavers and how they are able to temporarily transport us to another world from our desktop. One of the most common screensavers, is a tropical landscape; a place of relaxation and escape. So, the computer in a sense, is creating this artificial world for us to use as escapism.
