Hypnagogic Regression simulates the multiple flashbacks that occur of specific traumas in my past by creating a visual dialogue between three channels of video. These memories are recreated down to each detail and are incorporated in with archival footage from the same locations and scenes. My mother’s face also appears, because she is my guardian and the one who I guard, because I am that perfect little untarnished girl with a glass case full of Wizard of Oz Madame Alexander dolls.
