Captured in the abandoned, and currently being renovated, Vicksburg Paper Mill, Revive was created through a process of exploring and collecting. This work was not only inspired by the peeling paint and state of disrepair, but also by the sense of hope and knowing that the cavernous building would soon be brought back to life. The building would be brought back to its pride and glory and would be preserved, unlike the buildings that I have previously documented. The building was to be revived. I began collecting natural objects around the town of Vicksburg and contrasted them against the peeling floors of the mill, showing that the history can be preserved and something beautiful will come of this.
